Natural Processing Aids for Sugar Production
Over the past ten years, Betatec, working alongside Zuckerforschung Tulln, has established a strong market position within the sugar industry as the source for naturally–derived biocides to control bacteria in sugar beets and thick juice. Together we work to continually improve our knowledge and broaden our patented applications within the sugar-processing industry. Building upon our success in the sugar beet industry, we have also developed products to be used in sugar cane processing. These natural compounds are particularly active against Leuconostoc bacteria, a significant problem in cane mills.
