BetaTec Hop Products is the newest addition to the Barth-Haas Group. BetaTec was established to focus the collective Barth-Haas expertise in hops and hop products for the development of applications outside the traditional brewing industry.

Joh. Barth & Sohn GmbH , Nuremberg, founded in 1794. The company is the market leader in hop trading and processing in Germany. Joh. Barth & Sohn accounts for 50 percent of the Barth-Haas Group's total turnover of 150 million euros. While the business activities of Joh. Barth & Sohn were originally focused exclusively on hop trading, since the 1960s hop processing has become the company's second main activity.


John I. Haas, Inc.  was founded in 1914 and specializes in hop trading and processing. The company owns and runs its own hop yards, warehouses, extraction plants and pelletization plants in the Northwestern United States. Haas is a leader in the field of research and development of hop-based products for use in and outside the brewing industry.


Botanix Ltd. , in the United Kingdom, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Joh. Barth & Sohn (Germany). Botanix has two production facilities in the UK, one in Eardiston in the West Midlands and one in Paddock Wood, in the county of Kent. Botanix specializes in hop based aroma products as well as supplying the full range of downstream bittering products.


Hop Products Australia , in Hobart/Tasmania, grows and process hops for the domestic and international markets. Their market share in Australia totals more than 80%. The company has set up an intensive research program concentrating on breeding new hop varieties and on continuous improvement of farming and processing methods.


NATECO2 , based in Wolnzach (Germany), began operations in its hop extraction plant in the 1960s. Today, the company is the world's largest manufacturer of hop extracts and natural substances produced using CO2 as a solvent.


Hopfenveredlung St. Johann GmbH & Co. KG , in St.Johann (Germany), includes a research brewery and state-of-the-art cold stores. Hopfenveredlung St. Johann has the world's largest hop pelletization plant for Type 45 and Type 90.


Gansu Tianma Hops Co. Ltd. , is in Gansu, People's Republic of China. This company has been supplying the Chinese market for years and is well equipped to meet steadily growing local demand.


Xinjiang Green Diamond Hop Co., Ltd. , is in Xingiang, People's Republic of China. Green Diamond is operated by Joh. Barth & Sohn, and provides hop trading and hop processing. Green Diamond is well established in supplying the Chinese market, and is poised to meet the expanding requirements of the Chinese market.
